Twilight Meeting: Water and Labor Saving Technology, plus New Plant Introductions

Richard Clark, Matthew Crudale and the crew at Clark Farms gave a warm welcome to RINLA member companies and their staff, many of whom were Registered Apprentices within the green industry, for an introduction to their water- -and labor-saving technology and techniques. Included in their presentation was an introduction to new horticultural specimens proving to be versatile additions to fine gardening projects. Attendees appetites were also quenched with a host of tasty drinks and sandwiches generously provided. Clark Farms, a competitive and independently owned nursery and garden center located right off the Commodore Perry Highway in Matunuck, offers one of the largest inventories of plant varieties for use in both commercial and residential landscaping and personal gardening. Having started in 1989, they are a staple in the Rhode Island community, having grown from a vegetable garden into the leading supplier of premium plant and landscape material for South County. This event was kindly sponsored by Pavers by Ideal, a 100-year old family-owned company here in New England that prides itself in making concrete pavers that are of superb quality, exceptional strength, lasting durability and rich color. We thank them for their support.
