Apprentices Visit Robin Hollow Farm

Mike and Polly Hutchinson welcomed the Growing Futures team and Registered Apprentices to their farm in Saunderstown for a tour of their gardens and greenhouses. We were led through their growing houses, each of differing temperatures, and educated on the steps their staff take in cultivating their flowering plants in preparation for the busy spring season. Make sure to check out their website as well as their new space at Farm Fresh Rhode Island!

They were keen on sharing with us any tricks of the trade they had picked up from years of managing their family-owned land, including their beloved wolfhound retriever who has proven to be quite the people-pleaser as well as a voracious vermin hunter. We were enamored by an endless array of beautiful specimens, including bountiful hellebores, a witch hazel at peak blossom, and a regal paperbark maple tree shading their staff patio.
